LET ME HELP OUR COMMUNITIES. LET’S GROW AVOYELLES PARISH.
As a life-long resident of Avoyelles Parish, I am committed to making the parish a place where families can flourish and kids won’t have to move away to find a job. With my experience as an entrepreneur, I know how to create jobs and opportunities. I’ll work hard in Baton Rouge to grow our job base and give every one of us a chance to succeed.
LET’S STOP WASTEFUL SPENDING
Politicians in Baton Rouge are risking our future to fund their wasteful ways. I will use my knowledge as a successful job creator to force government to live within its means, cut our taxes and give the citizens something back for their tax dollars.
I SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS
I know firsthand the schools in Avoyelles Parish and across the state. I understand the importance of giving parents and students the chance to achieve their dreams. I support giving every student a strong start, high expectations, effective teachers and quality schools.
I WANT TO PRESERVE OUR WAY OF LIFE
My Christian values guide me every day. I am pro-life and committed to protecting the rights of the unborn. As a sportsman, I will defend the Second Amendment and will fight to protect the rights and culture of our community.
Amendment #2: A Smarter Approach to Louisiana’s Tax & Budget System
Louisiana voters will have the opportunity to modernize and streamline the state’s tax and finance system by voting YES on Amendment #2!
This amendment strengthens taxpayer protections, lowers income tax rates, limits government growth, and pays down state debt—all while maintaining a balanced budget and ensuring funding for critical needs.
✅ Key Benefits of Amendment #2: ✅ Why This Matters: ✔️ Provides a permanent Teacher and support staff raise ✔️ Lowers the state income tax rate from 4.75% to 3.75% ✔️ Doubles the standard deduction for seniors ✔️ Limits government spending growth to ensure responsible budgeting ✔️ Protects the Rainy Day Fund while keeping Louisiana financially stable ✔️ Requires a two-thirds legislative vote to create or increase tax exemptions, deductions, or credits. ✔️ Prohibits property taxes on prescription drugs. ✔️ Pays off $2 billion in state retirement debt to secure teacher and school worker pensions. ✔️ Allows local governments to eliminate business inventory taxes while receiving revenue.
This amendment puts Louisiana on a stronger financial path by ensuring responsible budgeting, reducing debt, and cutting taxes where they matter most.
Make sure you VOTE YES on Amendment #2 and help move Louisiana forward!

When municipalities break the law to cheat people out of their hard-earned money, they must be held responsible. The City of Winnfield is now facing a class-action lawsuit for allegedly using illegal speed enforcement cameras to generate revenue at the expense of citizens.
This is exactly why we’ve been fighting against these predatory traffic cameras. It’s not about safety—it’s about money. We need to ensure that no town is above the law and that citizens are protected from these abuses.
Had a great time speaking at the Louisiana Telecommunications Association (LTA) conference! The LTA members are the true broadband providers, and it was great to discuss the GUMBO 2.0 program and our upcoming Locate & Mapping Initiative that the Governor and I are working on. This initiative will revolutionize how we construct underground utilities, helping to prevent damage to municipal water, sewer systems, and other critical infrastructure.
I appreciate the support from LTA members, who truly understand underground construction and the importance of taking every precaution. Looking forward to the impact this initiative will have on our communities!
I’ve seen multiple towns ignore the law and abuse speed cameras, collecting more in fines than from all other tax revenue sources combined. This is a serious problem, and we have to fix it!
Last session, we put measures in place to rein in the speed camera industry, but they have completely disregarded them. That leaves us no choice—this session, I will work with Senator Cathey to outlaw these cameras once and for all!PLEASE STOP PAYING THE TRAFFIC CAMERA TICKETS!
The Town of Mangham last year in 9 months, collected more in speed camera tickets than they did for all other sources of tax revenue combined in the town. This is a problem and one we have got to fix! Last session, we put measures in place to reign in the speed camera industry which they have completely ignored. So now it’s time to outlaw these cameras once and for all! ... See MoreSee Less
Marksville did it too. Got me for 200$ for 38 in a 35mph zone
No way to fight it. No appeal. And threats of collection agency if I didn’t pay within 2 weeks.
Talk about highway robbery! Literally.
Marksville had 4 cameras workout any signs to state that is speed cameras. Then on hwy 107 going to pineville, just past hwy 454 on the left. A pineville cop puts his car along the road and had 2 cameras installed on a pole in his yard.
Thank you!!!
Also when you get a chance please give me a call concerning some other laws that were just put into effect. Either I need clarification on them or something needs to be done!

Last night, the committee adopted the Home Rule Charter proposal, marking a major step forward for our parish. Now, the decision will be in the hands of the people when it goes to a vote in 2026.
It’s been a long road, but after years of discussion and hard work, Avoyelles residents will finally have the opportunity to choose the form of government that works best for our parish.
This is about accountability, and making sure our government structure reflects the needs of the people it serves. I appreciate everyone who has been part of this process, and I look forward to the conversation ahead.
Daryl, on another subject. I don't know if you can do anything about commercial insurance. I wanted to do some Hotshoting until I starting looking into the amount that the federal government requires you to carry. But what realy got my gratis that in Louisiana Progressive insurance is the only one you can get.I even tried to get some out of state but they all told me that if you live in Louisiana that they can not insure me. The insurance that is required would cost me $30,000 a year. If I could get insurance out of state ,I could get it for half or less than that. I think that this is very unfair for the truckers in this state. Thanks for reading this.
Daryl, wanted to let you know that I fully support the home rule charter. I think the parish will be better to meet our future needs.
Olivia and I had an incredible time in New Orleans, welcoming visitors to our great state! City of Winnfield faces class action lawsuit for alleged illegal speed enforcement camera

According to the suit, the camera used by the City of Winnfield to enforce speed limit at a particular intersection violates Louisiana law.5 CommentsComment on Facebook
Well, the town of Livonia sure gets a lot of money for that. It needs to be stopped.
That needs to happen to Marksville and then on hwy 107 going to pineville.
Agreed, This is a governmental predatory practice where private companies get a cut of the funds. Shameful.
