LET ME HELP OUR COMMUNITIES. LET’S GROW AVOYELLES PARISH.
As a life-long resident of Avoyelles Parish, I am committed to making the parish a place where families can flourish and kids won’t have to move away to find a job. With my experience as an entrepreneur, I know how to create jobs and opportunities. I’ll work hard in Baton Rouge to grow our job base and give every one of us a chance to succeed.
LET’S STOP WASTEFUL SPENDING
Politicians in Baton Rouge are risking our future to fund their wasteful ways. I will use my knowledge as a successful job creator to force government to live within its means, cut our taxes and give the citizens something back for their tax dollars.
I SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS
I know firsthand the schools in Avoyelles Parish and across the state. I understand the importance of giving parents and students the chance to achieve their dreams. I support giving every student a strong start, high expectations, effective teachers and quality schools.
I WANT TO PRESERVE OUR WAY OF LIFE
My Christian values guide me every day. I am pro-life and committed to protecting the rights of the unborn. As a sportsman, I will defend the Second Amendment and will fight to protect the rights and culture of our community.
🚨 Public Safety Depends on Reliable Communication 🚨
This summer, Central Louisiana has experienced multiple AT&T outages that disrupted 911 service and cell coverage. That’s unacceptable. Families, first responders, and businesses all rely on these networks—and when they fail, lives are put at risk.
As highlighted in this KALB article, it’s clear that telecom companies must be held accountable. We need better mapping of infrastructure, stronger oversight, and reforms that treat broadband like the essential utility it is.
I will continue pushing for transparency and reliability so that Cenla—and all of Louisiana—can count on safe, dependable service.
📉 Good news for Louisiana drivers! 20 auto insurance companies — including Geico, State Farm, Progressive, and Allstate — have filed for rate decreases this year, a step in the right direction for our state.
I want to thank Governor Jeff Landry and my colleagues in the Legislature for making insurance reform a priority in 2025. While we know the full impact of these reforms may take time to reach everyone’s premiums, this is a positive sign that we’re moving in the right direction.
We’ll continue working to lower costs for Louisiana families and businesses. 🚗💵
🎉 Honored to receive the 2025 Family Advocate Award from the Louisiana Family Forum!
It’s a privilege to stand for life, liberty, and limited government, and to work every day for the families of Louisiana. Thank you to the Louisiana Family Forum for this recognition, and to the people of District 28 for allowing me to serve.
I'm proud to report that this year I secured over $13 million in critical investments for District 28 to improve our roads, infrastructure, and community services. In addition, I authored legislation to promote more responsible spending of your hard-earned tax dollars and foster a more business-friendly environment across Louisiana.
🚧Roads & Infrastructure - $11,423,835 •State Road (LA 107): $8,508,000 •Parish Roads: $2,676,935 -Roadway improvements - $1.3 million -Ruby/Centerpoint Rd. - $200,000 -Business Loop Rd. - $336,925 -Riche Rd. - $622,010 -Beauregard Lemoine Rd. - $218,000 •Village of Hessmer Roads (Improvements to Smith, Josephine, Gremillion & Aymond Streets): $238,900 🏗️Other Projects - $1,624,397 •Avoyelles Port Commission (Liquid Fertilizer Tank Terminal Expansion): $750,000 •Evergreen Water System Improvements: $71,397 •Village of Moreauville (Sidewalk Rehabilitation): $78,000 •Village of Plaucheville (New Fire Station Construction): $500,000 •Bordelonville Volunteer Fire Department (Emergency Operations Center): $225,000
It is an honor to work for the people of District 28. Thank you for the continued trust and opportunity to serve.
I also know there are over 300 other roads in our parish that still need attention, so please don’t think I’ve forgotten about your road — this is just one step forward, and I’ll keep pushing for more. ... See MoreSee Less
In 2012 I came home from a 3 month military deployment to United Arab Emirates to a speed camera ticket in my name from the City of Gretna. 42 in a 35. Obviously I was not driving. They said the vehicle was in my name so I was responsible for the ticket. I said no way am I paying a ticket that states by signing is an admission of guilt and agreement to waive court appearance, nor was I going to go to court over something so blatantly BS. It never appeared on my driving record or my credit report. But, just that basis is totally unlawful. If a uniformed officer in a marked patrol car would have stopped the car the driver would have gotten the ticket not me, but they say I am responsible because it's a camera ticket. No way in hell that can be lawful!!
What if it’s a ticket received prior to August 1?
Why speed ??? 63, never got a ticket. I travel all over the country. Pay for breaking the law. 💪🏼👮🏼
Darker Window Tint officially takes effect today, August 1st.
This past session I authored HB119 which decreased the allowable window tint percentage on front side windows to 25%. Not only does this change put our tint laws in line with other southern states, it also enhances comfort and safety for our Louisiana drivers. ... See MoreSee Less
Thank you to the Bunkie Rotary Club for inviting me to speak at your meeting. When session ends, I always appreciate opportunities like this to share what we've accomplished for District 28. While there's still more work to do, it's clear that we're moving in the right direction - building a district that supports continued growth and opportunity. Together, we're making progress, and I'm proud to be a part of it. #buildingabetterlouisiana... See MoreSee Less
Today, I had the privilege of joining several of my colleagues from the House and Senate to provide a legislative update to the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce. We had a great discussion on the issues impacting our region and the work being done at the Capitol to support our communities and businesses.
Thank you to the Chamber for hosting this important conversation. I also appreciate them highlighting one of District 28’s own by sending everyone home with a jar of salsa from Sisters’ Salsa Company. I look forward to continuing our efforts to strengthen Central Louisiana.
Thanks for coming to the Bordelonville Vol. Fire Department meeting. We really enjoyed all the information you told us on what happened in the Legislative session. The welcome mat is is always there. Come whenever you want.
Thanks for the shoutout and for all your hard work.
I recently had the opportunity to be the Guest Speaker at the Zachary Taylor Parkway Commission meeting, where I was able to provide an overview of the recent legislative session and discuss its impact on infrastructure, economic development, and transportation initiatives across our region.
It's always an honor to engage with community leaders and stakeholders who are committed to advancing progress and preservation along the Parkway. Strategic investment in this area is key to unlocking long-term growth and opportunity for our parishes.
Thank you to the Commission for the invitation and continued partnership. I’d also like to personally thank Commission Chairman AJ Roy for his service to not only this cause but also his dedication to helping build a better Avoyelles. I'm excited to continue working together to move our region forward.
Great work! I remember when AJ received his initial appointment to the ZTP Commission, must have been over two decades ago. Great to see Daryl promoting that infrastructure. And thanks AJ ... many years you have provided leadership on that Commission.
Yes it was a great meeting!
Thank you for all of the great information and keeping us up to date with all that is going on and all that you work so hard to accomplish!

I read from a local news station that the rate drop was because of fewer wrecks last year-? Which is the reason?
My GEICO premium is 11% higher than 12 months ago
So you’re now taking credit for a reduction in insurance when in fact, it was the drivers themselves who caused the rate decrease. What a world.
